How it all started:

 

Courtney Wells was born and raised in Minnesota and attended college at Iowa State pursuing one of her dreams to become a teacher.  After her first year teaching, she felt a need to explore a bit more, so Courtney headed west to San Francisco, CA where she met her husband. They got married in the mountains surrounding Lake Tahoe, had two beautiful little girls and lived the crazy city life in the heart of SF.

While in San Francisco, Courtney decided it was time to pursue another dream of hers - interior design.  Her experience in the industry began at the corporate level with three years at The Gap Inc, then she went on to join the Pottery Barn Kids Design team in San Francisco. Following her corporate design experience, Courtney was given the opportunity to work with a close friend of mine and owner at JL Interior Design as a Designer & Project Manager.

After living in San Francisco for over 15 years, she decided she needed a new lifestyle change and to be closer to family. In August, 2017, they took the plunge with our two girls, waved good-bye to the city by the bay and headed east to Denver, CO.  They have since fallen in love with all that Denver has to offer and have not looked back. A sign they made the right decision!

As Courtney got settled in Denver, she decided to launch LuSi Design offering interior design services for residential and commercial clients. Inspired by her grandfather who founded a commercial interior design company in the 60's (still running strong to this day!) her passion for interior design runs deep.

Where did the name Lusi Design come from?

LuSi Design came from combining the names of Courtney's two beautiful daughters, Lucia & Siena.  Who knows, maybe someday they will be the creative eyes behind LuSi Design!
